You can’t transfer funds using RTGS from 11:50 PM to 00:30 AM every day. Also, SBI doesn’t have any transaction charges for RTGS transfers using the Internet and mobile banking.

SBI Bank IMPS Timings

SBI Immediate Payment Services (IMPS) transfers are accessible 24×7, including holidays. But to use this service, you must add a beneficiary to your account.

Here are some important points to consider while performing an IMPS transaction:

  1. You can add only one beneficiary in a day.
  2. Once you request beneficiary addition, it will take around four hours.
  3. The window for adding a beneficiary is from 6 AM to 8 PM.
  4. If a beneficiary is added after 8:00 PM, it will be activated the following day after 8:00 AM.
  5. On the activation day, a maximum of Rs. 10,000 can be transferred to the new beneficiary’s account.
  6. After a cooling-off period of three days post-activation, you can transfer up to Rs. 2 lakh via IMPS to the beneficiary.
  7. There are no charges for incoming transactions within the country.
