The SBI ATM response code is a number that gets printed on the transaction slip after a transaction is made at an SBI ATM terminal.

The SBI ATM response code or error code is generally a two-digit or a three-digit number that is processed through the bank’s CAS payment gateway for every transaction. These ATM codes provides the reason why the payment was approved or declined by the bank.

To solve the SBI ATM error codes, it is important to learn about the meaning of the codes and what they reflect. The ATM response code either shows a successful transaction or an error code that means an issue with the ATM card or the account itself.

Let’s understand this with an example!

The SBI ATM response code 053 means that you have entered an incorrect PIN and making the transaction again using the correct ATM PIN solves the problem. Also, if a wrong ATM PIN is entered three times consecutively, the card gets blocked automatically for the next 24 hours.

What is 068 external decline?

The 068 external decline in an SBI ATM means that your card’s monthly withdrawal limit is exhausted. The limit for ATM transactions in a month is set to 4 times only.
