To use the YONO cash feature, a YONO user only needs to login to the YONO app and use the YONO Cash feature to generate a reference number and create a dynamic PIN for the cash withdrawal. The SBI customers have to use the same PIN to complete the transaction and withdraw cash ATM, POS terminal or CSP.

  1. Send an SMS with the text “MBSREG” to 9223440000 or 567676 from your registered mobile number.
  2. You receive a temporary User ID and default MPIN on you mobile number.
  3. Download the SBI YONO or SBI YONO Lite app from Android or Apple app store.
  4. Open the app and log in using the User ID and MPIN.
  5. Now, change the default MPIN with a new one.

How to set a username in SBI Yono?

Setting up username in SBI Yono provides access to all the banking service through your phone. The steps to set up username in SBI yono is given below.

  • Download the “Yono App“, open it and click on “New User Activation“.
  • Select “Cash Management Product” in yono.
  • Click on “submit”.
  • Enter the temporary userid received on your registered mobile number.
  • Select Account number or Corporate ID.
  • Enter the required details and captcha.
  • Click on ‘GO’.
  • After the registration process is completed, change your temporary user ID to a new one.
  • Enter the OTP sent to your registered number.
  • Validate the OTP. A new Security Questions page opens.
  • Answer any five questions out of the 15 available questions.
  • Now, enter the new user ID and click on “submit”.

  10. Choose the way you want to reset your password, your card details or your profile password.
  11. If you choose “reset by using your profile password”, then enter your profile password.
  12. Again, click on ‘Submit’ button.
  13. Enter your new login password and then, re-enter to confirm that.
  14. Click on ‘Submit’.

  • Open onlinesbi.com on your browser and click on “Forgot login password”.
  • Click on the “Next” button, in the pop up window. 
  • Provide the information that include your username, account number, country, mobile number, date of birth and the captcha code. 
  • Click on “Submit”.
  • Confirm by entering the one time password (OTP) that you received on your registered mobile number. 
  • Enter your “new password” and click on the “Submit” button. 

How to change MPIN in SBI Yono app?

MPIN stands for Mobile Personal Identification Number and is a 4 or 6-digit code that needs to be entered to login to the app or before making a transaction on banking and payment apps. MPIN acts as an authentication process for making payments and therefore, it is important to change this on a monthly or quarterly basis.

  1. Login to the YONO app using your MPIN or User ID and Password.
  2. Choose “Service Requests” from the Menu or simply go to Quick links and click on “Service Request”.
  3. Select “Manage PIN” and choose “Change MPIN”.
  4. Enter your Net Banking Profile Password.
  5. Click on the “Confirm” button.
  6. Now, enter you current MPIN.
  7. Enter the “New MPIN” and click on Confirm.

Your SBI Yono MPIN is now changed and you have to use the new MPIN for login to the App or make the transactions.

How do I enable domestic e-com transaction on SBI debit card through SBI yono app?
